On September 19, 2026, St. Francis de Sales Cathedral will host its Third Annual Fall Fest fundraiser at the Baker County Event Center.
Proceeds from this year's event will support the restoration and preservation of our historic stained-glass windows. Eight of these windows were installed in 1923, making them more than 100 years old. These remarkable works of sacred art are valued at more than $1 million and have inspired generations of parishioners and visitors of Baker City alike.
In 2025, our windows were evaluated by Daprato Rigali Studios, stained-glass restoration specialists from Chicago. Their assessment revealed that several windows were in urgent need of repair and restoration. To preserve both the beauty of these windows and the rich history of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, we have begun Phase II of a restoration project totaling $316,000. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, restoration work is already underway. However, the cost of this important project exceeds what our congregation can reasonably bear alone. We are therefore seeking the support of our broader community to help preserve this historic landmark for future generations.
At this time, we are looking for donations for our auctions, silent and live. Every gift, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to reaching our goal. If you are able to donate an item, please contact the office at (541) 523-4521
Thank you for considering us.
